“But you’re a woman! Are you sure technology is the right field for you?” This is the reaction I often hear when I tell people my selected career path.

As a first generation American, I am used to the generalized opinions of others. Striving to support me through tough times, my parents remind me how fortunate I am to live in a country of opportunity. Back in Iran, where they were born, the citizens are isolated from the outside world.  This unfortunately prevents them from fulfilling their potential in life. Acknowledging this reality, my parents were determined to find a new way of life despite the unknown world that awaited them and they set out for the United States where they contemplated providing their children with the education they always dreamed of.

Are you a #woman in #cybersecurity?

Take A 8 minute survey

"Many reports on women in cybersecurity focus on the negative aspects of the situation -- under representation, inadequate pay, and challenges in the workplace. These are important, but we want to do a different kind of women in cybersecurity report.

We want to highlight what women are doing to innovate in cybersecurity and move the industry forward. Our hope is that this information will inspire employers to try to go beyond simply achieving parity for women in the cybersecurity workplace and hire women instead for the enormous value they bring to the table.

Take our short 8 minute survey, and be a part of this inventive new report. "
